8 simple steps to make-over your interior space (any room)

Interior Style
Select an interior style that suits your life style, be practical and think of the long term maintenance.
Color Scheme
Think as the big picture now the entire house or the entire room colour scheme (#Overall) you want something bright (happy colours), something mystery (moody colours) something neutral (beige or off white colours)?
Feature Wall
I am referring to any single room, select a wall as the focal point for the room, select the wall that you will see first when enter to the room, if its a bedroom then select the wall at the bed head. Paint that wall into dark colour (or your favourite colour) and the rest of the walls (non-feature walls) into beige or the pastel colour family of the feature wall colour. Not more than 3 colours per room please otherwise your room will looks like kindergarten!
Furniture
Select the furniture that match with your selected interior style (step 1). Do headcount when buying furniture make sure everyone have a sitting place, and also do think about long term as we don't change our furniture every month so buy something durable.
Lighting
Use warm light (Yellowish lighting) to create ambience (mood), use day light (white lighting) as the tasking light (for work).
Soft Furnishing
Curtain, throw cushion on the sofa, carpet or rug on the floor, pillow cover & bed sheet these are the example of soft furnishing, select the colour that match your feature wall not your furniture, we are using soft furnishing to highlight and link up the feature wall and the furniture so the interior space will look like a magazine spread.
Decor Accessaries
Buy big or oversize decorative items so that you do not need to buy a lot of them, remember we are using the decor accessories to create visual impact so just one or two statement items will do.
Fresh Flower & Candle
Final touch, fresh flower the fresh flower gives "life" to your interior space compare to the fake one. Use candle to create mood, please always make sure it's safe to use the candle. Candle can burn down your place I am serious!
